Grocery Shopping...Ugh!

I used to love to go grocery shopping. My husband and I would go together and it was a time of bonding over meat and produce. Not anymore! Now, I go grocery shopping with a toddler. It is an experience, but not necessarily a good one!
First comes the wrestling match to get him into the cart. He wants to run around the store. I want to keep him contained!
Then, come the sticky fingers. There is an art to parking the cart just right so that the love of your life does not grab a breakable jar, or a container of yogurt. You truly do not realize how much those things hold until they are splattered on aisle 12!
Finally, I make it to the check-out. Have you ever tried to pry a box of goldfish from a 19 month old's fingers? I swear that kid must work out. He is supernaturally strong! If I do manage to get the goldfish away (which I gave to him to keep him from screaming to begin with) then he either starts screaming or taking the food off the conveyor belt as fast as I put it on!
This is why I dread going to the grocery store!

Dear Anonymous,
I think I would go crazy shopping with 5 hungry girls! One "starving" boy is hard enough. One would think I never feed the kid!
Love ya, too!
