A Quiet, Peaceful Life

All I want is a quiet, peaceful life. Seriously! Today, I was watching the 5 sisters (whose parents are in Mexico) plus Aaron, and we decided we wanted soup for lunch. One of the girls had partially opened one of the cans, and I got the brilliant idea to pry it open with a spoon. Well, the spoon slipped and my hand came down on the can, slicing my thumb. I turned on the water and threw my hand under the sink.

When the bleeding stopped, I proceeded to call every paramedic I knew and not one was home! So, I called the guys up at James' volunteer station to come and see if I needed stitches. Their verdict was "probably". So, after feeding them, sending them upstairs to take naps and finding someone to watch all 6 kids, I headed off to the doctor. After telling me I needed "7,000 stitches all over my body" the doctor got serious and said I had a choice between a couple of stitches and "steri strips". Guess which one I chose?

First a broken elbow, now a sliced up finger, what are we going to do with you? Please don't break, slice or hurt anything else on your body, please!! LOL....

P.S.
Hope your finger heals up fast.
