Yesterday after Aaron's doctor's appointment, I took him to Chik-fil-A to play. I was sitting at my table when all of a sudden Aaron came out of the playset and he was crying. I rushed over to him and asked what was wrong. He said "A boy hit me!" I asked "What boy?" and about that time two much bigger boys came out of the playset. They were probably 8 or 9 years old. The friend of the hitter immediately told on him.
I asked what happened and the kid said that Aaron was trying to put his polar bear in a "hole" and his friend did not want Aaron to. So, the friend starting "beating on him!" (his words, not mine). Well, of course the "hitter's" mother was mortified. She kept making him apologize and asking if Aaron was alright.
Aaron was okay and recovered quickly with the offer of a sip of milkshake. Mommy on the other hand did not recover so quickly. My heart was broken and the strain of holding in the tears I wanted to weep gave me a stomachache for the rest of the day. I wanted to throttle that kid! How dare he pick on my child?! (and why wasn't he in school, anyway?)
This "mommy" thing is hard work!

Aaron's Check-Up
Yesterday was Aaron's 4-year check-up at the pediatrician. It went really well and with his recent growth spurt, he was in the 92nd percentile in height! The doc said if he continues like that, he will be 6 ft. 2 inches tall!

Aaron's Business Idea
As we were riding down the road the other day Aaron said to me "Mommy! I just had an idea! What if we made a store and all we had were movies and people could come and buy movies from us?!" I tried not to laugh as I said "Sweetie, that is a great idea!" It was so cute! He honestly thought he had come up with something that no one had thought of before. Now, he keeps making plans for when he opens his movie store. Or, his other idea is to open a store that sells only "Laffy Taffy". That one may be a completely original idea! :)

Bread in the Bathroom
For yesterday's dinner I made a big sandwich out of a loaf of sourdough bread. I hollowed out the middle and gave it to Aaron who likes to eat it. This morning I went into his bathroom and found a chunk of sourdough bread. Why would it be in his bathroom? Motherhood is such an adventure!

How Did She Know?
My mom bought Aaron a sled for Christmas. We thought this was an unusual gift for a child who lives in a place where it hasn't snowed since he was born! Well, yesterday we got about 6 inches of snow and went out and had a big time with the sled! How did she know it would snow?
