Celebrate the Little Things!
On this cool, blustery morning, Aaron finally agreed to let me drop him off in the car pool line. I was so glad not to have to get out of the car! He was very proud of himself because he got to get out and walk into his preschool all by himself!

Pig Pick!
Aaron went to his first "pig pickin" tonight. Or as he called it "a pig pick!" Wouldn't you know I forgot my camera!
Teddy Bear Day!
On Tuesday the kids in Aaron's class had to take a teddy bear to school. He took his "Paw Paw Mark" bear. The bears stayed at school and had a "sleepover" on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Then, when Aaron got to school on Thursday, he discovered that those sneaky teddy bears had gotten food and set up a picnic! The kids made some ears to match their bears. Isn't Aaron the cutest little teddy bear you've ever seen?

Monkey Business
My sister sent Aaron one of those greeting cards that makes noise when you open it. It had monkeys on the front and when you open it, monkey noises start coming from the card. After he opened it several times, I asked Aaron if he wanted me to read it to him. He said "sure". So, I started reading, "I'm thinking about monkeys...and now you are, too!" He got this puzzled look on his face and said "But, I'm not thinking about monkeys!" I thought it was pretty funny!

Talking to God
This evening as I was cooking dinner, Aaron wandered into the kitchen and said "Mommy, I want to talk to God about something." I replied "Okay. Go right ahead." So, he kind of tilted his head back and looked up at the ceiling and stated "God! I don't like pirates!"
Thanks again, God, for this precious (and hilarious) boy of mine!

It's Like Apples and Strawberries?
For preschool today, each of the children was assigned a color of apple to bring to class. Aaron's apple was red. They each got to try all the different apples. Aaron said the red apple tasted like red strawberries and the green apple tasted like green strawberries. Green strawberries? Your guess is as good as mine!
Proud Parents!
At the risk of totally jinxing myself, I am going to say that Aaron had another great day at preschool today! That makes 3 in a row! James and I are soooo proud of him! He seems to really be enjoying his new class.

1st Day of Preschool 2008!
Aaron had a great 1st day of preschool! This morning he kept saying that his stomach hurt. I asked him if he was a little bit nervous and he said "yes". James and I took him to his school, and he walked right into his classroom, proudly carrying his new "Lightning McQueen" backpack. He went into his room and found his cubby. After hanging up his backpack, he quickly found the playdoh and went to work making stuff!
James and I left and spent a nervous 2 hours wondering how he was going to do in his new class. When we returned, the teachers said he did GREAT! We were so proud of him! Hopefully, it is a great start to a great year!
If you look under the "September 2007" tab (to the left of the blog entries), you can see how much he has grown since the first day of school last year. It is amazing!
