Father's Day Fun!!!

Aaron had a great time taking his Daddy out for Japanese food for Father's Day! Check him out using the chopsticks! He definitely gets that from his father!

Going "Komodo"

Yesterday, Aaron came into the kitchen after using the potty and he was wearing only a shirt. So, I told him to go put on his underwear and some shorts. He replied "But I want to go 'komodo'!" I started laughing and said "komodo?" He replied "Yes! I want to go with shorts and no underwear!"

And all this time I thought it was called "going commando"!

"No Beard" the Pirate

Aaron loves playing pirate! Several times a day I hear "Argh! Give me all your money, Mommy!" He bought a p;astic pirate sword with his "beach money", but it was broken before we even left the beach! So, we bought him a foam sword, and it seems to be much tougher than the plastic one was!

One Disappointed Bug!

While on our vacation we tried to take Aaron to climb the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. When we arrived at the site, we learned that you must be 42 inches tall to climb. Once the Bug realized he couldn't climb it, his little face just scrunched up and he burst out crying! It was so pitiful! It broke his parents' hearts.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

A few years ago, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was moved farther inland from its original site. This was due to the beach erosion that had gotten so bad that the lighthouse was about to fall into the ocean! We visited the original site and then went over to where the lighthouse had been moved to.
