"Kiting"

Aaron and his Daddy love to fly kites, or go "kiting" as Aaron calls it! So, James bought him a stingray kite down at the beach. The first day they tried, there was not enough wind. But, the next time they took the kite out, they flew it for quite a while!

3 Hours of Ferry Rides!

To get to Cape Hatteras, we had to take 2 different ferries (one for over 2 hours and one for about 45 minutes). Aaron love looking for fish and dolphins. He also enjoyed talking to different people on the ferries. We had a great time!

We started our Outer Banks vacation at the Driftwood Motel on Cedar Island. It was a small motel with a lot of "local character". Aaron charmed all the women who worked there (0f course). They would give him candy and fawn all over him whenever they would see him! He loved it!

Mr. Chicken

Much to my disappointment, Charlie "Ar" Brown has been cast aside for a new best friend. His name is "Mr. Chicken" and he traveled with us on our vacation this year. I miss "Ar" Brown, but Aaron loves Mr. Chicken!

I Love...

As I was putting Aaron in the car last night, I gave him a big hug and said "I love you, baby! He hugged me back and said "And I love...the fireflies in the sky!"

Strawberry Pickin'

Yesterday, we went strawberry picking with our "Parents as Teachers" group. Actually, I went strawberry picking. Aaron went stick waving, bug hunting and kid chasing! Here are some pictures of the one (ONE!) strawberry he did pick!
