My Big Helper!

The other day Aaron came running into the living room. He grabbed his toy hammer and ran towards his bathroom. As I chased after him, I called "What are you doing with that hammer?" He yelled "There's a spider in here! I'm going to kill it!" Then, he started banging on the side of the tub. Sure enough, there was a spider there, successfully dodging Aaron's very enthusiastic blows! While I had eventually had to kill the spider myself, I was very impressed at his willingness to help out!

In My Heart

The other day Aaron was sitting at the table eating some cereal. I said to him "You need to say "Thank you, Jesus" (That's what we call the blessing). He replied "I did!" I said to him, "Really? I didn't hear you." He gave me this withering look and said "I said it IN MY HEART!"

Aaron's Eagles

Aaron loves eagles. Knowing this, his Paw Paw and a friend have both given him eagles recently. The other morning I heard him calling to me from his crib. "Mommy! Mommmmy! I want to take a picture of my eagles!" So, I brought him the camera and let him take some pictures.

Aaron's Credit Card???

Last night when we came home from Vacation Bible School, Aaron ran out to check the mail. He opened the mailbox, pulled out a large envelope, and exclaimed "My credit card is here!" Where does this kid come up with this stuff?

Just for the record, we do not let our 2 year-old use a credit card! :)

A Trip to Myrtle Beach

We just got home yesterday from a trip to Myrtle Beach. James' parents camp there every year and we try to join them when we can. Aaron had been visiting them the week before, so we just met them all down there after James got off work on Tuesday morning.

When we arrived, Aaron was taking a nap. After not seeing him for over a week, it was all I could do not to go right in and wake him up! I let him sleep, I did peek in his room a couple of times to see how cute he was though! Soon enough he woke up and was on the go!

We went to the swimming pool and I knew then how much I loved my son! For no one else would I have stood there and let every little kid at Ocean Lakes spray me in the face with those darn water cannons!!! There I was, trying to enjoy my sweet little toddler and half the time I was blinded by water spray! If Aaron doesn't appreciate me when he gets older, I'm definitely bringing this one up!

We spent a day "window shopping" at "Broadway at the Beach". Aaron rode a train with his Paw Paw, and a "Ferris Wheel" with his Mommy. He also rode some little rides by himself and the carousel with his Daddy. We took a boat ride around the area. It was a fun day.
Aaron's grandparents had bought him an inflatable pool to play in at the camper. It was much more fun for me! No bratty little kids spraying me in the face! I really enjoyed watching Aaron play in his pool.

All in all, it was a fun trip! Be sure to scroll down to see all the pictures from the trip!

Aaron's Watch

A little while ago Aaron told me he wanted a watch. I told him that he should ask his Nana (my mom) or his Maw Maw (James' mom) for one because they are the most likely to get him one. Well, later that same day, my mom called. I had completely forgotten about the watch conversation, but apparently, Aaron had not. I put him on the phone and told him to say hi to Nana. He yelled into the phone "I WANT A WATCH!'' My mom could not understand what he was saying and asked him to repeat it. So, he yelled again, "I WANT A WATCH!" She finally figured out what he was saying and said "I'll get my baby a watch". The next time we saw her, she had a "Bob the Builder" watch for Aaron!
